A great example of my stellar drawing skills (not!). Usually I photograph my subjects, so this was an entirely new pandemic experience for me. This is image 2. I ended up using the bit of sculpture picture as the title for my web page, but not without posting this one first. It is just pencil on plain white paper. I drew it sitting at my backyard patio table.
A photograph of the sculpture I made for image 3. It is a naked woman wearing a gas mask with her arms and legs tied to points out of view. I used fimo, sculpey, cardboard, twine, mesh, carpet tape & ribbon to create this work. It is mounted on a piece of Braille paper, ready for the thermoform machine.

So I’ve been pretty quiet on the blogging front just trying to focus on getting my second project completed. I’m so easily distracted. food. phone.laundry. life shit. Now receiving magazine hard copies from everywhere with articles about tactile mind. Very cool. will post some (bits) of pictures of my new project in the next couple of days. Haven’t quite figured out a title yet.

So I sit here in front of my computer and Blackberry and photographs, trying to retrace my steps for my next project. I always forget something when creating a tactile image ; right now, it seems to be the clay-. A little distracted from the feeds on Facebook from friends who have been on the streets during the G20 Summit in Toronto this weekend. It’s been a total police state.
